Why We're Offering Seminars

Tuesday, February 08, 2011

We're very excited to begin hosting regular seminars here at Myraqa headquarters in Redwood City.

As we go through the challenges of setting this all up, we've had to remind ourselves a couple times why we're doing all this. The reason we're doing this comes back to some of our core values, so I thought it might be interesting to share what we're thinking.

We see these seminars as one part of a larger effort to establish a different way of working with our clients. It's about approaching the work as a partner and emphasizing project success.

That's why our seminars cover advanced topics that go to the core of our expertise instead of repetitively drilling the basics. That's why we're bringing in experts from around the industry to augment what we're able to provide in-house. We're trying to raise the level of sophistication in the industry, but we're also trying to create the kind of learning experience that even 20-year industry veterans would find useful.

That's a bit of a departure from the standard training business model and it may take a while before everyone catches on to what we're working to create. It's an ambitious goal, but we're in this for the long haul.

We're starting next week with an ambitious topic: Companion Diagnostics. I'll get in trouble if I don't provide at least one blatant plug, so here it is: there are still some seats available for next week's seminar, but you should reserve a seat now, if you can.

We hope everyone gets a chance to join us for at least one session this year. These should be very interesting and we're looking forward to continuing to learn and have as much fun as possible with regulatory, quality, and clinical work.
